A nocturnal computer

It is not uncomen for Vista to not go into the sleep mode.  My cure seemingly was a new mouse. Yes, makes no sense. However it "wakes up" about 3:00 AM !  What is goimg on?

If you have anti-virus software it could be set to get updates and run scans in the wee hours,,, :)

Check and see... Be default it will check if updates every day... You can change the settings, but otherwise it will check for them.. (Control Panel ~ Window Updates ~ Change Settings)

good advice. It was set for weekly. It suggested at least monthly. I checked that box.
