Goldfish needed
« on: August 06, 2009, 11:45:07 AM »
Well, after my last goldie died I thought I wouldn't get another, but now that she has been gone awhile, the pond is a mess.  It's full of weird clumps of flaky algae I've never seen before.  I guess she kept that stuff down- I know she loved to eat string algae, so I guess she ate this stuff too.

Anyone in Houston Heights area have a few small goldies that need a home? If no one has extras I suppose I'll hit the pet store :/
My pond is a turtle pond!

2006: ~135 gallons of water in a 150 gallon stock tank.
2012: ~250 gallons in a 330 gallon stock tank
2013: ~40 gallon in-ground wading pool for my box turtle

One RES, and a passel of gambusias.

I've got extra goldfish for sale including some wakins & watonai BUT 250 miles is quite a distance to drive  ;)  Thanks for thinking of me though.  :)

There is never enough room for all of the water lilies that I want ;-)

LOL yeah that would be quite a drive.  I actually bought a few little Sarasas this week.  Fancy goldfish would become turtle food in my pond, or at least be tormented by him nipping at fins.  He can't catch a Sarasa!

Don't be fooled by the wakin, they are just as fast as any other common goldie variety. And just as hardy.
