Life without Koi

looks like Heaven. Don't know if I will miss them.

Of course I do not want to offend the Koi lovers but I had these lovely/cute creatures for 4 years and now enough is enough.

Gave away around 50 of them, cleaned my pond and placed all my plants where ever "I" want, even including the new seedlings and first time I know I am the master of the pond.

Water will stay clean, not much need for filtration and aeration and no more stones, pebbles, nets on and around the pots.

The first year, when they were not so big, all seemed ok but later they became a pain. Ok I know they had the right just to make some fun and play around with this and that but at the end they proved me that plants like w.lilies and hawthorn does not go with Koi. So I had to make this decision.

May be later, I would like to get some small fish that will not disturb the plants and can survive in zone 8 but before I have to check not to make another mistake.

Thanks to them for the pleasure they have given till now and hope they will be happy in their new pond

Anybody else who had to make such decision and was it easy to forget?

All that counts is that you are HAPPY!    Your koi found good homes and you have a better environment for your beautiful waterlilies.    So no more excuses, Tugo.  We expect to see more gorgeous blooms from your pond in the Spring!
